Fantasy Hold’em – Rd. 11 Preview

Fantasy Hold'em

I have moved this article to Wednesday to see if it will increase readership, which has declined slightly over the last few rounds. If you like our articles comment here or on our facebook page.

We’ll help you make the decision on whether to make the CALL and pick the player up, HOLD firm in the face of poor scores or FOLD when it’s clear the player is no longer up to it and needs to face the axe in AFL Dream Team.

TOP 10 Scorers for Round 9
Rd 10 Top 10

Remember all trades this round should only be done if they fit within your bye structure.

Matthew Kreuzer makes the call list in back to back weeks. Scoring 119 on the weekend, with a breakeven of 26, he is valued at only $353,500. He is terrific value and will continue to rise in price over the next few weeks.

Brent Stanton has been in terrific form since coming back from injury. He has averaged 123.7 over the last 3 and has only scored under 114 twice.

Dane Swan is super cheap at $521,000 down $167,100 from his starting price. He is a ball magnet. Bring him in.

Rookies Tom Mitchell (-126), Nathan Hrovat (-66) Kyle Martin (-118) and Thomas Nicholls (-82) are all fantastic rookie options to bring in over the next few weeks. All showed they have the potential to play key roles in their respective sides throughout the remainder of the season.

Brent Moloney is the number 1 traded out player this week. I’d hold him this week and wait and see whether he gets up from his back injury. He has had one disappointing game on the weekend 24 and now has a breakeven of 135. I’m not advocating that you keep him next week, just keeping him now gives you more options next week.

Sam Dwyer is the 5th most traded out player this week. I’d recommend keeping him. Especially if you have him in your forward line. With not many round 13 forward bye options, there is a possibility you only have 1 or 2 players having the bye in round 13. My advice is that you have at least 2 players from every bye round in your defence, midfield and forward line.

Trent Cotchin! What has happened to this one time high scorer. He has not scored over 100 since round 4 and does not seem to be as clean with his disposal this season. The expectation of the captaincy may be wearing on him.

Majak Daw looks like he has hit the wall. He played VFL on the weekend and with a breakeven of 113 a trade to Tom Nicholls is a good option.
