Believe the Hype – Round 13 preview

This weekly article will look at who is being HYPED this week as a MUST have buy in AFL DreamTeam and SuperCoach and other HYPED issues of the week.

This Round marks the end of the AFL bye period and brings relief to DreamTeamers across the world.

Bargain Buy
Scott Thompson (Adelaide) is an underpriced premium you should consider bringing into your side. Priced at $484,600. After two disappointing games with scores of 84 and 65, he bounced back after the bye scoring 141. In his last 10 games he only plays 2 current top 8 sides and that includes all of the bottom 5 sides. Adelaide also conclude the year against Gold Coast at AAMI Stadium a team that he has played against 3 times averaging 140.33. Sanderson has flagged the possibility of rotating players towards the end of the season, meaning Thompson may miss one in the lead up to September, but don’t let this discourage you from jumping on Thompson.
Verdict – Buy Now.

TRADE OF THE WEEK

Sam Gibson the next breakout Rookie?

IN: Gibson (NM) – OUT: Horsley (GC)
We wondered whether Horsley would be the second coming of Michael Barlow however this never came to fruition. He has been serviceable but now it’s time to say goodbye and bring in some cash or upgrade to a premium. The main rookie option is Sam Gibson from North Melbourne. We touted Gibson last week. He was the B&F at Box Hill last season averaging 28 disposals a game. By all reports he is having the same impact this season averaging 26 disposals a week in the VFL. He was solid on debut, however it will be interesting to see whether he retains his position in the side. If he is named this week, make the trade and cash in on his low price.
